Would You Pay $600,000 for a Potty-less Ship?

REYKJAVIK, Iceland (Wireless Flash) – Would you pay $600,000 for a boat without a bathroom? That’s the asking price for a 75-ft long, 80 ton replica of a Viking ship circa 870 AD that’s being sold on eBay by Icelandic sea captain Gunnar Marel Eggertsson. Eggertsson – who claims to be a direct descendent of Viking explorer Leif Erikson – built the bathroomless boat for a voyage he made in 2000 to reenact one of Erikson’s historical journeys. Bathroom or not, he says he’s willing to sail the ship, named Gaukastad, to whoever is willing to shell out $600,000 – as long as they are in Iceland. Otherwise, the buyer will have to pay for the ship’s shipping since sending it UPS would cost more than it’s worth. The auction is currently running on eBay.
