Zoinks! Casey Kasem Turns 70

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – One of America’s oldest rockers, Casey Kasem, just turned 70, but that doesn’t mean he’s slowing down. Kasem, who celebrated his 70th on Saturday (Apr. 27), says he feels younger every day and credits music for keeping him young. The music personality still does five nationally-broadcasted radio shows every week – a top 40 hits, two top 20 adult contemporary hits, a 1980s retro hits and a daily five minute program. He also claims music keeps his voice young, which allows him to keep doing character voices like “Shaggy” from Scooby-Doo. In fact, Kasem just finished recording voice-overs as Shaggy for the new cartoon called What’s New Scooby-Doo that will be on TV later this year.
