Candy Company Seeks to Break Screaming World Record

ITASCA, Ill. (Wireless Flash) – Parents sick of their kids’ screaming can finally do something about it – use it to make history. The Wonka candy company wants to break the world’s record for loudest group scream, so it’s inviting parents to tow their loud-mouthed brats over to the Six Flags Over Texas theme park in Arlington this Sunday (Apr. 28) for a “Scream-Off.” It won’t be easy, according to event spokesperson Tricia Bowles, since breaking the former record of 126.3 decibles will amount to a noise with the same decibel level as a jet engine. She admits the kids won’t get any prizes even if they do break the record, but she thinks the glory of a place in the Guinness Book of World Records should suffice.
