Media Expert: ‘Keep Drew Barrymore Off Your Magazine Covers!’
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – If you want to sell magazines, don’t put Drew Barrymore on the cover. That’s according to media expert Michael Levine, who, after weighing the sales of magazines last year, says Barrymore’s appearances on YM and Biography covers did nothing to boost sales. He says you should also avoid putting Cate Blanchett on your cover, since her appearance on the covers of In Style and W did nothing whatsoever for the magazines. So, what celeb should a savvy magazine publisher put on the cover to bring in the sales? Levine says Jennifer Aniston. Aniston’s Elle, Redbook and Ladies Home Journal covers, Levine points out, were huge sellers.
