Ministry Bassist: ‘Tour Documentaries Are Boring’

DALLAS (Wireless Flash) – Ministry’s bassist Paul Barker says rock ’n’ roll tour documentaries are boring, but he hopes his fans won’t think the same thing about his new tour DVD. Barker says most documentaries fail because during the concert parts, the bands just stand there and play their instruments, and during the backstage action, they either spend the entire time “trying to act cool” or hamming it up for cheap laughs. According to Barker, their new DVD, Sphinctour, is different because it takes hundreds of concert performances, cuts them apart and sticks them all together. The singer admits this is a little jarring, but hopes folks will think of it as an artsy mosaic.
