Former Soap Actress Is Real-Life Doctor

BOSTON (Wireless Flash) – A family practitioner in Boston knows something about acting sick: She used to be a soap opera actress. Before Dr. Cathleen London got her medical degree, she appeared on soaps like One Life To Live. Although she never played a doctor on the show, she says her soap experience have improved her bedside manner by helping her “...look interested when listening to my patients.” London thinks many doctors need acting lessons because they’re too detached around patients when empathy – even if it’s fake – would be more reassuring. Dr. London hasn’t acted recently but she’d love to play a doctor on TV. She thinks she has an advantage over other actresses since she can say terms like, “code blue” without sounding ridiculous. In the meantime, her latest project is promoting a new herbal migraine product, MigraSpray.
