A Candy Store for Grown-Ups

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Candy stores aren’t just for kids anymore now that two entrepreneurs are opening up a “just for grown- ups” sweet shop in downtown New York. Alison Nelson and Matt Lewis will open their shop, Chocolate Bar, in mid- May, and expect it to be a hip meeting place for stylish adults. “These chocolates are designed for adults – they’re not your typical Tootsie Roll,” says Nelson. Some of the more unusual chocolates on the menu include: bon-bons with “pear curry” flavored centers; dark chocolates with peanut butter and jelly filling and chocolates chock full of Earl Grey tea. The Chocolate Bar will also serve four different types of hot chocolate: white, milk, dark and a spicy blend that includes chile powder.
