‘Springer’ Screamer Unmasked

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) – You may not know the name Todd Schultz or recognize his face, but if you watch The Jerry Springer Show you know his voice. That’s because Schultz is Springer’s stage manager and his job is to whip the crowd up into a frenzy by being the first to belt out “Whoaaaa!” or to chant “She’s a whore!” when a guest comes on stage. 31-year-old Schultz says he never had any vocal training to develop his loud voice – unless you count the years he spent cheering at basketball and hockey games. But Schultz admits being loud does get him into trouble. Case in point: he says during a recent episode, he chanted “She’s a whore” so loud to one granny that she screamed back, “I am not a whore,” and started chasing him around the set.
