Halle’s Golden Man a Golden Ticket?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Halle Berry’s Oscar win could increase her movie asking price – which is great news for Halle, but not- so-great news for former blaxploitation queen Pam Grier. The Foxy Brown icon is in the process of adapting the quirky novel, Not a Day Goes By for film, and has asked Halle to play the female lead. Grier still hopes the Oscar winner accepts the role but says, “Now that [Halle] has won, we probably won’t be able to afford her.” Only time will tell who takes the part, but Grier is enthusiastic about her own role in the proposed film: “Ava, the mother-in-law from hell.” Grier also plays a greasy spoon waitress opposite Danny Glover in the urban thriller 3 A.M., which just hit video stores.
