PSYCHICS FUMBLED SEPT 11 PREDICTIONS

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash) – If psychics really can predict the future, why didn’t any of them know the World Trade Center would be attacked? That’s the question being asked by professional skeptic James Randi, who says the fact that no one predicted the September 11 attacks proves psychic power doesn’t exist. Predictably, seers are testy regarding their WTC predictions and a few claim they DID know, but just didn’t know they knew. For instance, New York-based astrologer Shelley Ackerman claims that her prediction that 2001 would be a lot like 1969 was sort of accurate since ’69 was also a big war year. Also, Chicago-based “Haiku psychic” Sidney Friedman claims what he’d originally interpreted as something falling from space must have been debris from the World Trade Center towers. However, Randi doubts any psychic will admit being wrong because they’d also “have to admit they were being crazy and stupid and most psychics are too stubborn for that.”
