FRODO DOUBLE REVEALS DIRTY SECRET OF HOBBIT FEET

HAMILTON, N.Z. (Wireless Flash) – A New Zealand man knows Lord Of The Rings character Frodo Baggins like the back of his head. That’s because 30-year-old Stefan Hill WAS the back of Frodo’s head for nearly four months, working as Elijah Wood’s body double in various scenes. In fact, in most scenes where Frodo is shot from behind, Hill’s back was used instead of Woods, including a scene where Frodo is running through corn fields. Hill says he and Wood are about the same height and they look amazingly similar when wearing pointy-ears and hairy feet. He enjoyed the experience but admits making the film wasn’t a cakewalk because the hairy feet that were part of his Hobbit costume were “...tortuous to wear.” Still, Hill says if producers need him for additional scenes, he’ll be happy to put on his pointy ears anytime.
