VIRGINIA MAN ASKS ASTRONOMERS TO FIND PLANET X
GALAX, Virginia (Wireless Flash) Astronomers are supposed to be looking at the stars but an amateur astronomer in Virginia says they have their heads in the sand. Tim Edwards claims ancient civilizations alluded to a mysterious planet called Nibiru whose orbit could intersect with Earth by next century but he says astronomers refuse to address the topic, mainly because Nibiru is supposedly inhabited. Edwards hopes to change the scientists minds with a new e-mail campaign and is asking folks to e-mail astronomers requesting they search for Nibiru so we can prepare for its arrival. However, Hubble telescope astronomer Keith Noll says theres no scientific merit to Nibiru and says a massive e-mail campaign will probably annoy scientists and not help the cause. Edwards isnt swayed. He says that if observatories are publicly funded, the public should have a say in what theyre looking for.
