URI GELLER TURNS 55 AND PLANS TO FALAFEL

LONDON (Wireless Flash) – Famed spoon-bending psychic Uri Geller turns 55 tomorrow (Dec. 20) and he plans to celebrate by eating at a Lebanese restaurant. The Israeli-born spoon-bender says he’s been bending his fork at Middle-Eastern restaurants ever since September 11 to send a message of peace through food. Geller admits his support of Muslim-owned businesses is stomach-churning to fellow Israelis but he feels many innocent Muslims have suffered from unfair discrimination because of Osama bin Laden. He says he will continue to chow down on shish-kebabs and falafel because he believes that Islam is a religion of peace. However, since Geller will be eating with his family in a nice restaurant, he has no plans to bend any spoons – unless the restaurant owner wants a souvenir.
