MEDIA EXPERT: ‘SAKS SHOULD HIRE WINONA’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Winona Ryder may have stolen from Saks 5th Ave but it’s the department store that’s getting a steal of a deal in free publicity. That’s according to Los Angeles publicist Tom Brennan, who estimates Saks is getting millions of dollars worth of free publicity from the theft. Brennan thinks Saks will benefit by being associated with a trend-setting youth icon like Ryder and says if the 30-year-old actress is charged, the company should try to plea bargain her into doing a commercial cheap. He even thinks the incident may make the Beverly Hills Saks a trendy tourist spot and figures years from now there may even be a historical plaque on the site.
