MERRILL OSMOND THINKS OSMONDS DESERVE TO MAKE ROCK HALL OF FAME

DETROIT, Mich. (Wireless Flash) – The Osmond Brothers may not be among the latest inductees into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame – but that could change next year. Merrill Osmond says the group plans to re-form next year for a tour and CD to remind the world what a great rock band the Osmonds are. Although the Osmonds have long been ridiculed for their apple pie image, Merrill says lots of record company execs want the Osmonds to capitalize on the new patriotism sweeping America. He admits that old school rock critics might not “give the Osmonds their due” but says the group has been attracting a whole new generation of fans who have no idea the band’s music isn’t cool. No release date is set for the next Osmonds’ CD, but, later today (Dec. 14) in Detroit, Merrill is debuting a new solo song called “America.”
