BOOZA NOVA: RIO DE JANEIRO HAS WORLD’S CHEAPEST ALCOHOL

ROCHESTER, Wi. (Wireless Flash) – Rio De Janeiro is best known for skimpy bikinis – but it also has skimpy prices for alcohol. According to Runzheimer International, the liquor store tab for a six-pack of beer, a bottle of wine and liter of vodka in Rio is $14.79 – making Rio, by far, the lowest-priced city to be a lush. By comparison, Tokyo residents pay the biggest booze bills in the world: $40.70 for the same combination of beer, wine and vodka. Meanwhile, Miami, Florida, is America’s most expensive city for alkies, with an average liquor store bill of $26.09. Minneapolis, Minnesota is the cheapest: Drinkers pay only $19.40 to get sloshed.
