POLICE CATCH ‘COVER CHARGE CROOK’

POLICE CATCH ‘COVER CHARGE CROOK’

MANKATO, Minn. (Wireless Flash) – A 29-year-old man in Mankato, Minnesota, is proving crime doesn’t pay – especially when it comes to stealing cover charges. This past weekend, police arrested Andrew Kratochvil for allegedly pretending he was an employee of a local bar and collecting cover charges from patrons. Bar employees chased the cover charge crook out when they found out about the scam, but he just went to a bar one door down and continued his scheme. Police haven’t released the exact amount Kratochvil is accused of stealing, but, if convicted, he could spend 90 days in prison and pay a $1000 fine. Interestingly, the scam is earning admiration from Mankato cops, including one who told a local newspaper that the thief gets “an A-minus for creativity” – the minus because “...he got caught.”
