AMERICA’S DRABBEST HOME GETS A MAKEOVER

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Wireless Flash) – You might mind having your house called the drabbest home in America but a woman in St. Petersburg, Florida, has 10,000 reasons to be happy. Patricia Conklin’s beige-colored abode has been declared “America’s Drabbest Home” by General Electric and has won a $10,000 makeover. The 41-year-old mother of three says before the makeover, her home was so drab it was like living in a warehouse. Not only that: She says everything was so beige that she had trouble finding her kids because they would blend in with the walls. Along with new paint on the walls, Conklin also received recessed lighting, new furniture and has had the scuffs polished out of her living room floor.
