THE CENTER FOR SLANG

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Wireless Flash) – A Canadian word-lover has created a clearinghouse for new slang on the Internet. It’s called Pseudodictionary.com and contains almost 6000 slang words submitted by net-heads all over North America – including terms like “internet bitch slap” and “surfworm,” the internet equivalent of a book worm. 23-year-old website creator Paul Jarvis says he’s been making up new slang words all his life and started the slang dictionary so others could legitimize their made-up words. He says he’s picked up plenty of new slang himself since starting the site earlier this year, including .... “Cinewobble,” which is when you stumble around the movie theater after the show ends and the lights come up. “Hubba jubba” refers to a man’s love handles. “Outsert” is the opposite of insert. And, finally, “wuss-rock” is cheesy, sappy music made by male musicians, usually boy bands.
