‘TWIN TOWERS MENORAH’ A HOT SELLER FOR CHANUKAH

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Many Jews will be paying tribute to the victims of the World Trade Center tragedy this Chanukah by lighting a menorah which features the Twin Towers in all their glory. According to the manager of New York’s West Side Judaica store, the so-called “New York Menorah” has been a hot seller ever since September 11. The ceramic menorah, created by artist Shepsel Scheinberg, shows the towers as part of the New York City skyline and has been around since last year. West Side Judaica manager Yakov Salczer says he has about 50 of the $50 menorahs in stock right now in preparation for Sunday (Dec. 9), his store’s biggest day for menorah sales. Meanwhile, the website Jewish.com has sold all its New York Menorahs, while AnyMenorah.com says it only has “limited supplies.”
