NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK REUNION?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – What was ex-New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg doing backstage at a recent N’Sync concert? Believe it or not, the 32-year-old former boyband heart-throb was there to introduce his son to Justin Timberlake and the rest of N’Sync. However, he insists he wasn’t there to check out the competition even though it’s possible the New Kids might one day reunite – if they all agree. If there is a comeback CD, Wahlberg says he won’t follow the teeny-bop trail his group blazed back in the late ’80s and would prefer to start his own record label instead of signing to a major label. One person excited about the potential New Kids reunion is Jennifer Freestone, president of the Donniewahlberg.com fan club, who says the past seven years have proven “... that the New Kids are indeed very talented.” Wahlberg’s latest project is a new film, Diamond Men, which opens tomorrow (Nov. 30).
