OFFICE HOLIDAY PARTIES ARE BEING DOWNSIZED

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Workers aren’t the only things being downsized this holiday season – so are office holiday parties. According to Los Angeles-based event designer Pauline Parry, one record company that spent $80,000 on a lavish Christmas party last year will spend just $2500 this year and serve its employees food from the El Pollo Loco fast food chain. She also says an law firm which decorated every room in their offices last year won’t be doing anything at all this holiday season because of layoffs. Meanwhile, event designer Leonard Neil says a manufacturing firm that last year spent $40,000 just on entertainment for their holiday party this year will host a scaled-down luncheon.
