NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Heroic action figures based on New York City’s firefighters are expected to be blazing hot this holiday season. That’s the forecast from the International Council of Shopping Centers, a New York-based trade group that represents malls in 77 countries. The group predicts many kids will ask Santa for a Mattel action figure called “Billy Blazes,” which is a buffed-out New York firefighter. Also hot are Barbie dolls, G.I. Joes, and robotic pets like Aibo. For adults, tweed clothing, DVD players and cross pendants are all hot holiday gifts, as well as tabletop fountains, charm bracelets and throw pillows.
