MIDNIGHT SCREENINGS OF ‘HARRY POTTER’ COULD MAKE KIDS GRUMPY

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) – Parents: don’t take your kids to a midnight screening of the new Harry Potter movie unless you want little witches and warlocks on your hands. Several theaters are planning on screening the highly-anticipated flick one minute after midnight tonight – but it’s a horrible time for a kid to watch a movie, according to pediatric psychologist Dr. Alan Hilfer. Harry Potter is two-and-a-half hours long and Hilfer says kids who stay up that late are bound to get grumpy and irritable – even if they take naps beforehand. He says many kids may want to attend the midnight show so they can be among the first to see it, but Hilfer warns the tots may be too tired at school tomorrow morning to enjoy their bragging rights.
