WILL PRINCE HELP SAVE MINNESOTA TWINS?

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Wireless Flash) – Some folks will do anything to keep Major League Baseball from getting rid of the Minnesota Twins – even ask Prince for help. Paul Ridgway is the chairman of “Keep The Twins,” a newly-formed organization dedicated to keeping the Minnesota Twins from being “contracted” from the league. Ridgway says the Twins have loyal fans but fears that Minnesotans’ trademark low-key personalities are making the baseball bigwigs think they don’t give a hoot. He’s asking all Twins fans from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa to converge on the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome this Sunday (Nov. 18) to sign a petition to prevent the team from being sacked. In addition, Ridgway is trying to get Minnesota natives like Garrison Keillor and Prince to donate their talents to keeping the team afloat – or to at least buy season tickets.
