PETER CRISS TO BECOME SALOON SINGER

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Former Kiss drummer Peter Criss now wants to become a jazz cat. Criss wants be the next Frank Sinatra and is recording a CD of songs like “I Got You Under My Skin” and “Witchcraft.” It’s hard to imagine the man best known for the power ballad “Beth” singing lounge lizard classics but Criss says he’s always liked jazz and even studied drums with big band legend Gene Krupa. Although the music is the main reason why Criss is going lounge, he says there’s a more pragmatic reason: “It’s hard to wear seven-inch heels when you get older.” But reviving the Rat Pack isn’t the only project on Criss’ docket. He’s also writing a children’s book and will make his acting debut on the HBO drama, Oz, early next year.
