PHYLLIS DILLER: ‘NO MORE PLASTIC SURGERY FOR ME’

LAUGHLIN, Nev. (Wireless Flash) – Phyllis Diller’s face will soon be seen on stages when she opens a new comedy satire later this month, but as for her own face she’s done with plastic surgery forever. The “Godmother of Comedy,” who has joked about her surgeries in her acts for years, says now that she’s 84 she has decided to grow old gracefully. However, she boasts how successful the operations were for her while Michael Jackson’s – who she claims shared the same surgeon as her – were not. Diller’s explanation is that he probably told the surgeon how he wanted to look instead of having faith in the doctor. In her words, “If you tell him how you want to look, the doctor is likely to get nervous and cut your nose off.” The new comedy satire, Dear Sheldon, opens in Escondido, California, November 23.
