GOLF NUT HELPS SPORTS ADDICTS KICK THE HABIT
PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) A golf nut in California is taking a swing at sports addiction with a sports version of the nicotine patch. The so-called Sports Addict Patch is just one part of a recovery kit created by sports lover Ron Curry to help wean himself from ESPN and the golf course. Users are supposed to affix the adhesive patch to their arm and wear it continuously until they lose the need to play, watch or read about sports. Currys recovery kit also includes a guide to spotting sports addicts and a CD-ROM that features pictures of various sports just in case the sports nut falls off the wagon and needs a quick fix. He admits he has no scientific data to back up his product, but says it must work because hes been fairly busy since he invented it.
