HOW WILL YOU CELEBRATE ‘LORD OF THE RINGS DAY?’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Sci-fi and fantasy-lovers rejoice: November 8 has been declared “Lord of the Rings Day.” Bookstores around the U.S. will be celebrating the hobbit holiday, which was declared by New Line Cinema to promote two new books tied-in to the first of its three Lord of the Rings movies, opening later this year. The two movie guides are The Lord of the Rings Official Movie Guide and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Visual Companion, both by Houghton Mifflin. Hobbit-lovers who show up to many bookstores will be able to watch a 20- minute video featuring interviews with the director and stars of the films. And while dressing like a wizard or an elf isn’t required on Lord of the Rings Day, a spokeswoman says folks should feel free to suit up if they like.
