ARIZONA COUPLE TO OPEN ‘CLEAN-CUT CINEMA’

CAREFREE, Ariz. (Wireless Flash) – A married couple is opening a video rental store that specializes in sanitized versions of popular Hollywood films. The “CleanCut Cinemas” will open this Friday (Oct. 26) in Carefree, Arizona, and will offer major flicks like Gladiator, Meet the Parents and Titanic which have been scrubbed of all swear words, sex and gory violence. Owners Marlo and Ron Garrett say they will also clean-up any movies customers already own for a $12 fee. Marlo says movie sanitizing is a great idea because it exposes the movie to audiences who otherwise wouldn’t see it because they can’t stand cursing, nudity or violence. However, she warns some movies – including Caddyshack, The Blair Witch Project and Pretty Woman – will never be available in clean-cut editions because it’s impossible to edit out all the filth without ruining the plot.
