TERRORISM HARASSMENT INSPIRES ARTIST TO FIGHT BACK

PORTLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash) – Americans may be turning on themselves when it comes to fearing terrorists are among us. Case in point: Mexican-American artist Julie Rico who claims she was harassed at a TWA ticket counter because employees and passengers thought she looked “foreign.” Rico claims passengers were telling security guards to search her bags and later they were heard whispering, “Oh, she got in the plane!” after Rico cleared the checkpoints. To fight back, Rico says she’s designing a shirt to let everyone know she’s an American citizen which will read: I am Mexican and my father was a U.S. Marine. It sounds extreme but Rico says ever since the terrorist attacks she feels she, “can’t even walk outside anymore.”
