STEVE MILLER MEETS STEPHEN KING

MIAMI (Wireless Flash) – Steve Miller and Stephen King will be sharing the same stage later this month when the literary rock band Rock Bottom Remainders hits the road. The writing rockers group, which is made up of bestselling authors including King, Dave Barry and Amy Tan, will make three rare public appearances in New York, Chicago and Denver. Barry admits the authors are only marginally talented as musicians, so they usually hire a “ringer” to play with them, and this year it’s guitar god Steve Miller. Barry says the band will definitely play Miller classics like “Fly Like An Eagle,” but they’ll mostly play really simple songs like “Louie Louie.” Cash from the three charity concerts will go to America Scores, an after- school program that encourages kids to read.
