J.K. ROWLING’S CHILD’S FIRST WORDS WERE ‘HARRY POTTER’

LONDON (Wireless Flash) – Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling admits her daughter’s first words weren’t “mama” or “dada” – they were “Harry Potter.” That’s according to a new biography of the children’s author which also reveals Rowling’s tot would shout out the young wizard’s name at bookstores without prompting. Other revelations from J.K. Rowling: A Biography (Michael O’Mara Books)... The author’s full birth name is Joanne Rowling; she has no middle name. The “K.” in J.K. was something she added to pay tribute to her grandmother, whose name was Kathleen. Ms. Rowling is a big fan of the mopey British band, The Smiths, and used to spend hours trying to master the chords in hits like “Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now.” And, finally, Rowling refuses to wear anything that’s brown or yellow because those were the colors of her much-hated high school uniform.
