THE GUILT LENNON NEEDLESSLY TOOK TO HIS GRAVE

LONDON (Wireless Flash) – Today (Oct. 9) marks the 61st anniversary of John Lennon’s birth. Tragically, sources say Lennon felt guilty that he caused the death of his friend, Stu Sutcliffe, who died of a brain hemorrhage in 1962, a few months after Lennon kicked his head in a fight. For the rest of his life, Lennon blamed himself for killing his friend – but his guilt may have been needless. According to Sutcliffe’s sister, Pauline, who has spent years researching her brother’s death, evidence suggests Stu had previous head injuries. Although Lennon’s blow probably wasn’t the contributing factor, Ms. Sutcliffe only started her research after Lennon’s death and she regrets not being able to ease the Beatle’s conscience.
