WHY DESI ARNAZ JR. SHARES A BIRTHDAY WITH ‘LITTLE RICKY’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – It’s not just a coincidence that the son of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz shares the same birth date as their sitcom son, “Little Ricky.” Desi Arnaz, Jr. tells the upcoming Parade magazine his parents planned to pop him out on the same day “Little Ricky” arrived on I Love Lucy, and resorted to medical intervention to make the plan work out. “It was a caesarian,” he says, “and they planned it for the day when Little Ricky would be born on the show.” Despite the pregnancy publicity stunt, Arnaz says his parents never really wanted to parade their kids on TV. By the way, October 15th is the 50th anniversary of the first broadcast of I Love Lucy.
