WAL-MART COOKBOOK PROVIDES PEEK AT DISCOUNT DINING

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (Wireless Flash) – Talk about discount dining: Wal-Mart is coming out with its own cookbook. Next month, the bargain basement chain store will be releasing a book of recipes gathered from its employees. The Wal-Mart Family Cookbook will contain 80 recipes from employees’ kitchens, many of which are based around the “brand name convenience foods” sold in Wal-Mart. For example, there’s a recipe called “Barb’s Crispy Bars” which contain Toll House chocolate chips, corn syrup, Rice Krispies and pretzel sticks. And since it’s being sold only at Wal-Mart, the thrift store cuisine guide has a pretty thrifty price: $4.97.
