L.A. MAN CLAIMS HE’S EMPEROR OF AMERICA
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – This past week has been difficult for President Bush but even harder for a Los Angeles man who claims he’s Emperor of the United States. The man – who calls himself “Caesar Saint Augustine de Buonaparte” – claims he overthrew America in 1996 when he sent a letter to President Clinton declaring war on the U.S. Since Clinton never responded, Buonaparte says he became leader by default – and he doesn’t understand why the government and media refuse to inform the American public. Now, in light of the recent terrorism, the 40-year-old Buonaparte figures Americans will happily remove George W. Bush from office so he can become leader of the free world. Emperor Buonaparte also says he’s willing to appoint Bush as prime minister as long as he shares the job with Al Gore.
