‘IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE’ STAR SPEAKS ABOUT TRAGEDY

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash) – What America needs right now is more movies like Frank Capra’s feel-good classic It’s A Wonderful Life. That’s the opinion of Karolyn Grimes – who played “Zuzu,” Jimmy Stewart’s daughter, in the 1946 film. Grimes says Americans now face similar times to the WWII generation who was in their prime when It’s A Wonderful Life first hit theaters, and the film did a lot to unite the country. In her words, “The movie stands for everything America stands for.” Regardless of whether Hollywood starts producing more feel-good movies, Grimes says she thinks the annual Christmastime screening of It’s A Wonderful Life will mean more to Americans this year than it ever has before.
