AVOID ‘CELLOPHANITY’ – AND OTHER CELL ‘PHONE PAS’

BOSTON (Wireless Flash) – Cell phones may have improved communication but not communication skills. Self-proclaimed cell phone etiquette expert Carol Page, who dispenses advice on CellManners.com, blames cell phones for creating a whole new batch of rudeness issues. Page is especially upset by “cellophanity,” which she says is the excessively “loud cursing one does while trying to make a point on a cell phone.” Other examples of cell phone “cellfishness” include... “Cellulitis,” which is excessive weight on the body caused by carrying too many cell phones. A “cellhibitionist” is someone who thinks talking loudly on a cell phone makes them appear sexy. Finally, a “dead ringer” is someone who programs their phone to chime annoying Beethoven or Mozart melodies instead of the traditional ring.
