MISS HATHAWAY SPEAKS FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE

THE WOODLANDS, Tex. (Wireless Flash) – Today (Aug. 28) marks the 80th anniversary of the birth of actress Nancy Kulp, who played gangly Miss Hathaway on the TV sitcom. Although Kulp died in 1991, a Texas psychic named Petrene Soames claims she’s in contact with Miss Hathaway, and says the actress wants to end a long-standing feud with former co-star Buddy Ebsen over his support of a political opponent during her 1984 congressional run. Ebsen’s response to the ghostly message is that he isn’t aware of any feud with Kulp and says he “loved working with her” as long as politics weren’t involved. The 93-year-old actor is now writing romance novels from his Beverly Hills home and says he hopes his latest novel, Kelly’s Quest, will be turned into a motion picture. Meanwhile, the psychic says Kulp wishes Ebsen success with his romance novel, but Kulp admits she prefers books “with more depth.”
