MACHO MAN BEAUTY SPA IN THE WORKS

BETHESDA, Md. (Wireless Flash) – Macho men who are too embarrassed to get their backs waxed at beauty parlors will soon have a more manly place to go. Two male grooming experts who run a website called GroomingLounge.com are launching a full-service spa just for men. The manly spa will open in Washington, D.C., and co-founder Michael Gilman describes it as a place where a guy can get a manicure while watching ESPN. To help dudes feel more masculine when they’re being beautified, he plans to call spa procedures by more testosterone-charged names – for example, a pedicure becomes a “mens’ foot treatment.” Gilman says he’s also considering offering beauty packages named after prominent Washington politicians – including a “Gary Condit Stress Reducer.”
