HOUSTON (Wireless Flash) – The mother of the real “Bubble Boy” plans to boycott the new Disney movie about a boy forced to live in a plastic bubble. Carol Ann Demaret – whose son died in 1984 – says the slapstick comedy Bubble Boy is an insult to her boy’s memory and mocks his medical condition.
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The mansion where fashion designer Gianni Versace was gunned down in 1997 by Andrew Cunanan will be converted into a posh hotel and restaurant. The new hotel will open by mid-December with rooms ranging from $2,000 to $6,000 a night.
LANGLEY, B.C. – Residents in British Columbia are about to croak over a series of attacks by killer bullfrogs. The dinner-plate sized amphibians have attacked baby ducks, goldfish and even a pet cat in Langley, east of Vancouver.
LOS ANGELES – Will And Grace star Sean Hayes is willing to give a guy the shirt off his back – and more. The actor recently came to the rescue of a man shot in a robbery attempt by ripping off his own shirt and using it to stop the bleeding. The victim was treated for his leg wound and released soon after.
OSNABRUECK, Germany – A German entrepreneur says he wants to print classic novels on rolls of toilet paper. About one chapter would fit on each roll, and toilet visitors would have to read each book in installments.
COPENHAGEN – Danish media is reporting the break-up of the music group Aqua, best known for their 1997 hit “Barbie Girl.” The song caused a flap with Barbie maker Mattel who said the use of the name Barbie was unauthorized.

LONDON – Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter is considered the best bad guy in cinema history, according to a poll by only-movies.com. Hannibal beat out Star Wars’ Darth Vader and cross-dressing Norman Bates from Psycho.
LONDON – Readers of Esquire magazine have voted Moulin Rouge star Ewan McGregor Britain’s “Sharpest Man.” McGregor trounced soccer hero David Beckham, who took second, and Jude Law.
