NEW YORK – Actress Mary-Louise Parker has given up cigarettes for knitting. The 37 year old tells Rosie magazine that knitting keeps her occupied since she gave up smoking. She says she knits hats for her boyfriend, actor Billy Crudup, and sweaters for her sister.

SAN FRANCISCO – Sonic The Hedgehog is the first video game character with his own comic book to reach issue number 100. The video game debuted in 1991, while the first comic was published in 1993.

NEW YORK – Tina Wesson, last year’s $1 million winner on Survivor: Australia tells US Weekly magazine she blew her winnings on a 4,500-square-foot house. Wesson also bought a motorcycle and paid off a debt for runner-up Colby Donaldson.

JERUSALEM – The Red Hot Chili Peppers have canceled a concert in Tel Aviv because of the recent Palestinian suicide bombing in Israel. 20,000 tickets had already been sold, which will be refunded.

HOLLYWOOD – A new Brady Bunch TV movie will soon be filmed. It will have father Mike Brady, vice President of the United States, step into the role as President after scandal forces the current Prez to leave office.
