LAS VEGAS BREAKS GROUND ON MONORAIL

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash) – Las Vegas will break ground this Thursday on – of all things – a monorail. The four-mile length of track will stretch from the MGM Grand Hotel to the Sahara, and connect several hotels in between. Although the final design is still in the works, a spokesman for the project says each station will be decorated in different themes. Insiders speculate the Coca Cola-sponsored stop may resemble a glass bottle of Coke turned on it’s side, while the Intel stop could leave folks feeling like they just rode into the inside of a computer. In true Vegas style, the groundbreaking for the $650 million project will be done with a gold plated drill bit while an Elvis look-a-like sings “Viva Las Vegas”. The monorail is expected to be completed by 2004.
