COUNTRY RAPPERS CHALLENGE TRACY BYRD

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) – The future of country music may be determined in a high noon showdown between a country rap duo called the Southern Rap Commission and singers Tracy Byrd and Mark Chesnutt. Rappers MC Wild Turkey and Gangsta Tea are challenging the two country stars to a sing-off to prove rap can be country too. The southern fried feud began when Byrd and Chesnutt released “A Good Way to Get On My Bad Side,” which includes the line: There ought to be a law against cowboy rap. Turkey and Tea saw the song as an attempt to oust them from the country scene and now want fans to decide their fate in a televised showdown. Byrd’s publicist says his client hasn’t accepted the challenge yet, but is up for it as soon as a day, time and place is set.
