GIRL GROUP’S SIGN MISTAKEN FOR STRIP CLUB AD

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Never underestimate the power of a sexy billboard. That’s what the girl group Mpress learned after folks in Treasure Island, Florida, mistook the group’s sign for a strip club ad. It started last month when the girls filmed the video for their single, “Maybe,” in an abandoned club in town. The production team replaced the bar’s sign with a photo of the three young women and locals took it as a sure sign a nudie bar was moving in. Although several residents complained to city officials, the hullabaloo didn’t faze any of the singers. 20-year-old Marissa Clark thinks it’s “funny,” while 22- year-old Zoraida Rosario recorded the incident in her scrapbook. And 17-year-old Lauren Hart thinks the sign screw-up has helped Mpress because more people have noticed them.
