POGO STICKS BOUNCING BACK IN POPULARITY

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Watch out scooters: The pogo stick is gaining on you. It seems the bouncy toy of yesteryear is making a comeback, with sales springing higher than they have in years. A spokeswoman for Los Angeles-based pogo stick manufacturer Sport Fun says the company has had a “very sizable” increase in orders. Karen Myers says she’s even getting calls from product placement people who want to place pogos in films and TV shows. These days pogo sticks have high-tech bounce counters and sound chips which make funny noises whenever you spring. Myers also claims the toys aren’t just for kids: Some models are designed for adults, with sleek designs and graphics.
