‘THUNDERBIRDS’ TOYS ARE GO FOR NORTH AMERICAN KIDDIES

TORONTO (Wireless Flash) – Remember the campy 1960s TV series Thunderbirds, which featured marionette-style puppets in futuristic space adventures? Well, it’s ba-aaaaack. This fall, a Canadian toy company plans to launch a line of action figures and space ships based on the bizarre British series. It seems interest in Thunderbirds is soaring thanks to nostalgic fans and sci-fi collectors who have caught up with the show thanks to its recent release on video. The new line from Irwin Toy will include a $90 Tracy Island playset which features high-tech space gadgetry and emits classic Thunderbirds catchphrases like “Thunderbirds are go!”
