OIL CITY, Pa. (Wireless Flash) – Aspiring oil barons a la Jed Clampett now have a chance to win their own oil well thanks to a contest sponsored by the Accuweather.com website. The website will name an oil well located in Oil City, Pennsylvania, after the person who comes closest to predicting the high and low temperatures in Oil City on September 6, 2001. The grand prize winner will be flown into Oil City to see their name emblazoned on the well – but, unfortunately, the winner won’t have any rights to the black gold pumped out of the well. Instead, they’ll receive $3000 worth of gasoline – about the same face value as a year’s worth of the tiny well’s oil output.
