WANTED: BUYER FOR HOWARD HUGHES MEMORABILIA

EL CAJON, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – A man who repairs slot machines hopes to get someone to take a gamble on his collection of Howard Hughes memorabilia. 54-year-old Gary Rodgers has been collecting Howard Hughes items for the past 45 years and has amassed a collection of Howard Hughes coffee mugs, belt buckles, a teddy bear and even the blueprints to the Spruce Goose airplane. Now Rodgers wants to sell his entire collection and he figures the Spruce Goose blueprints are worth millions alone. So far, most of the interest has come from museums that want him to donate the collection, but Rodgers doesn’t feel like giving away 45 years of work. Still, in order to finance his kids’ education, he says he would settle for $225,000.
